On the other hand, isolation is the separation patient from other patients and people to stop the spread of infectious disease.

The basic difference between isolation and quarantine is the timing of separation. In Quarantine the patient is separated to see if he becomes sick or not. But in isolation, we know for sure that the person is infected, and we isolate him to stop the spread of disease.
